    Culzean Castle

    Once the playground of David Kennedy, 10th Earl of Cassillis, Cuzlean Castle and Country Park is now one of Ayrshire's most popular destinations. The stunning 18th Century Castle was designed by Robert Adam and sits perched on a magnificent cliff top.

    With something for everyone, from a children’s play park, walks and tours of the castle, Culzean is just 30 minutes from Yonderton.

    Heads of Ayr Farm Park

    A great one for all the family, with many different animals from meerkats, guinea pigs, goats and monkeys. Kids will also have the opportunity to burn off their energy with plenty of activities from jumping pillows, bumper boats, ziplines and helter-skelter slides.

    Heads of Ayr Farm Park has an onsite cafe plus onsite picnic areas to cater for everyone.  You’ll be there in 20 minutes from Yonderton Farm.

    Belleisle

    Deep in the heart of Ayr, Belleisle Conservatory is a botanical paradise. The Victorian greenhouse has been restored to its former glory and is a riot of fragrance and colour. 

    Outside, Belleisle Park has a golf course, play park and the Stables Cafe where you can enjoy afternoon tea. Belleisle is only 20 minutes by car and worth a visit.

    Ayr Racecourse

    Ayr is now Scotland's premier racecourse and plays host to both the Scottish Grand National usually held in April and the Ayr Gold Cup which usually takes place in September, however they have many fixtures throughout the year. A much more relaxed race day experience compared to some English Racecourses. Please check their website for up to date fixture list. The racecourse is 20 minutes by car.

    A stunning 18th Century house set in 2,000 acres. Dumfries House is part of The Prince's Foundation and has an impressive collection of Chippendale furniture. No stone has been left unturned with the gardens boasting stunning floral and vegetable displays and water features. Tours of the house are available and we recommend to book beforehand.  You’ll reach Dumfries in just 30 minutes by car.

    The Burrell Collection is located at Pollok Country Park in Glasgow and contains over 9,000 objects. This collection of medieval art includes stained glass and tapestries, oak furniture, medieval weapons and armor, ancient artifacts from Islam, Egypt and China. Along with a host of other artefacts from around the world, are paintings from five centuries and artworks spanning six millennia.
